Wildwood Crest Beach Cleanup

Did you know that our oceans will contain more plastic than fish by 2050? Sadly the expression “there are plenty of fish in the sea” will no longer be true if we do not put an end to ocean pollution. Marine life and our beautiful oceans are suffering due to human impact. Love Blue was founded because of our desire to raise awareness on the topic of ocean pollution and its contribution to the worldwide crises. But through our beach cleanups, we can draw in vacationers, community members, lifeguards, and surfers of all ages to come out and get a first-hand look at the problem we see every day.

Our beach cleanup that was held on July 26th, had an amazing turnout. Our powerful group of volunteers showed what Love Blue is really about. A massive 274 pounds of trash was collected from the beach that day, saving our beaches from what could of damaged our vulnerable marine ecosystems. Our last clean up at the Crest pulled in around 236 pounds of trash from the beach. Love Blue is only continuing to grow and spreading its impact. These beach cleanups are more than just picking trash off from the beaches. It creates a bond within the community that aims to protect our environment, along with the marine life we share it with. We are the generation to change the way we care for our Earth. It all starts right here and right now. Spread awareness, educate the public, and participate in picking up trash even if you are not near a body of water. Every little impact counts, no matter how small. It is never to late to join the BlueMovement, so lets come together and make a difference in our environment and save our planet from destruction of pollution.

Our next Beach Cleanup will be held Aug 02, 6:00 PM at Wildwood Crest, NJ. Lets try and beat our last pick up of 274 pounds of trash! Together we have the power to make a difference in the world and save the beaches we all know and love. So we would love to see you all join the Love Blue team in cleaning up our beaches and making a positive impact in our ecosystem. What you need to bring for Sunday is yourself and motivation to further the Blue Movement! We hope to see you all there!
