Avalon Beach Cleanup

Beach cleanups are a respectable cause to bring people together to focus on the environment and learn ways to protect and conserve it. Love Blue was created in hopes of bringing positive change to our environment and with our #BlueMovement, we want to bring attention to ocean pollution (specifically on our beaches) which contributes to the worldwide crisis. Love Blue holds weekly summer beach cleanups every Sunday.  Through our beach cleanups, we’re able to draw in vacationers, community members, lifeguards, and surfers of all ages to come out and see the first-hand issues of ocean pollution that we see everyday. These cleanups not only induce awareness, bring people together to support a crucial issue but most importantly make a massive innovative change to our environment. On July 2nd our second beach cleanup was held at Avalon, New Jersey. The clean up was run by our location manager Connor Wagner, who did an amazing job of putting this cleanup together and riding Avalon beach of it’s harmful pollution. Additionally, many Avalon lifeguards came out to support, aiding Love Blue in our mission of keeping the beaches clean and free of toxic waste. During this cleanup, Love Blue collected 60 pounds of litter and trash on the beach. That’s a huge amount of waste which is now gone and off the Avalon beach. In hindsight, these cleanups do more than riding trash and pollution on the beaches, they improve the coastal and ocean ecosystem by making sure that none of the trash kills marine life or is toxic enough to disrupt the marine life cycle. Love Blue is continuing to grow and spread the need for ocean conservation. Our next beach cleanup will be held Sunday the 5th, 6pm,  at Wildwood Crest, NJ on Rambler Road. We would love to see you all out there ready to make a difference in the world.
